The Process
We will start with an initial telephone conversation and decide if I am the celebrant you would like to work with. We will check dates, chat about your ceremony dreams and set up a meeting. If you choose to work with me, I will ask you to sign a small contract and pay a 50% booking fee. Another 25% is due 6 weeks before the ceremony, with the final 25% due 2 weeks before the ceremony.
We can then meet and start your journey - this is usually quite a long meeting - there is so much to cover but don't worry I am there to do the hard work. I will send an email after our meeting summarising our chat which will give you the opportunity to add anything you may have forgotten or tell me something I have missed out. I will then start working on your script.
We will also cover any legal bits at this meeting, e.g. GDPR
What's included
The initial telephone consultation
A meeting (at the venue if possible), where we will get to know each other and I can listen to your story and wishes for your special day (please allow plenty of time for this meeting)
Regular contact throughout the process
I will start piecing together your ceremony and we will have further contact regarding readings, poems, music
6 weeks before the ceremony date I will send a draft script for you to read over and add/ remove any content you wish
The week of the ceremony, I will contact you to check details and timings and any further requirements (if you would like a rehearsal meeting at the venue this can be arranged at a cost of £50)
My attendance at the venue from a few hours before to ensure everything is running as it should, e.g. PA system, and that the venue staff are briefed on the schedule for the day
2 x ceremony certificates
Mileage for a 20 mile radius from my home. Extra mileage will be charged at the recommended HMRC rate of £0.45per mile. (as at September 2021)
A souvenir script, presented in a gift box, will be posted to you the week after the ceremony
Fees
Wedding/ commitment ceremonies start at £650.
Themed weddings start at £650 but will incur an extra charge if you require me to wear a costume.
Destination Weddings start at £650 with travel arrangements extra - I can travel as one of your party or make my own arrangements and claim the expenses (subject to your prior approval).
Vow renewal ceremonies start at £550.
Naming ceremonies start at £450.
(Please note my fees do not include any ceremony paraphernalia e.g. candles, sand ceremony bottles, personal gifts to each other)
